Dear Parents

We are excited to invite Reception and Year 1 pupils back to school from Thursday of this week. It will be great to see everyone in Reception and Year 1 again after the period of partial closure. As you are already aware, this is our second phase in the reopening of the education provision in school. Our school continues to offer a care provision for key workers’ pupils and vulnerable pupils in other year groups.

As you are already aware things within school are different but the vision of making a difference to learning remains the same. Within all our plans we have thought about the children and their wellbeing.

Dear Parents

I am writing to update you on our plans for the phased reopening of schools from 1 June if the government announces that the conditions are met on 28 May. We have been very busy organising plans and risk assessing to ensure we have the procedures in place to keep everyone safe by mitigating the risks.

Firstly, I need to be clear that our school will not be reopening on 1 June but will be opening in a phased way from that date in line with government guidance. At each stage we will be checking our plans are working, risk assessments are effective and we have enough staff to move to the next stage. At each stage our primary concern is the wellbeing of all our children.

Dear Parents

As many of you will be aware the government announced last night the closure of schools on Friday and the move for school to provide care for key workers so they can continue to carry out their jobs and for vulnerable pupils. Key workers and vulnerable pupils are currently being defined by the DfE and our school will be following the DfE advise when this is published.

Dear Parents

I am sure many of you, like myself, will have watched the Prime Minister’s address to the nation on Sunday evening.

You will have heard the Prime Minister indicating that the government believes it may be in a position to implement a phased reopening of schools for certain year groups from 1st June. This is part of the government’s conditional plan, which it says will remain under review.
