Pupil Voice

Pupils in Le Ski de Descente have been working collaboratively in small groups to make a fair ground ride that rotates by electrical power.  The class have been thoroughly engaged in this project and Mrs Cox is very proud of them and their work.  There will be photos of their rides on Facebook so keep an eye out.

Some of the pupils were asked what they thought about their project.

Hayley and Lily made Easter Rush and this is what they said “We thought of Easter because we are both born in spring.  It was really hard at the beginning because whilst we were trying to get the motor to work, other things were breaking.  When we got the motor done, the switch wouldn’t work.  With a lot of hard work and fixing we got it to work.  We have really enjoyed making it.”

Shanice, Sophie and Kimberley made The Sun, Sea and Sand and this is what they said about it “We really enjoyed designing it.  It wasn’t the original design or name but once we saw the materials that Mrs Cox had, it gave us new ideas.  At first it wasn’t working properly but with some adjustments we got it to work.

Jayden, Ryan and Thomas made Innovative and this is what they said “First of all we were planning to make a different one but it was too complicated so we had to change our ride to a carousel.  We really enjoyed making the seats sparkly and we enjoyed painting the resources.

The sports coaches are now running sports clubs in golden time for children that want to take part.  Last Friday the pupils played football and this is what they said

Dominic said “It was good fun, it made a change from the normal golden time and it was nice to see how everyone else plays.”

Harry said “I thought it was very fun, even though I didn’t score any goals I still enjoyed it.”

Timeo said “I thought it was fun and I enjoyed playing.  I was the goal keeper.  I tried to catch the ball to stop it going in.  I’m good at catching now apart from if it’s in the air.”

Codie said “I thought it was fun.  I enjoyed trying to get the ball and I scored a goal.  I also liked running to get the ball.”

Lotti said “I thought it was really good and really fun.  I enjoyed playing in defence.  I would like to do sports for golden time again except gymnastics.”
