‘Keeping in Touch Newsletter’

I would like to thank all staff, parents and children for the way in which they have supported the school and worked so hard to keep the children safe and learning until the end of the year. I hope that you have enjoyed our posts on Facebook which have enabled communication between the school and the community. Our teachers and staff have worked hard to keep in touch with you via email, phone and website, and this has proved to be successful.

Today we had the pleasure of clapping our year 6 children in school, from the field where they were having a picnic, back to their class bubble. It was wonderful to see the smiles on their faces. By now, all of our year 6 children, whether they are at home or at school, should have received a presentation created by Mrs Coade in order to give these pupils a virtual leavers’ assembly.

We have all been watching this in school and there wasn’t a dry eye in the school!!

On behalf of Mr Dexter, myself and all staff, we wish our year 6 pupils the very best of luck in their future.

I hope that all pupils in Aycliffe Community Primary School have a fabulous and safe summer. We very much look forward to seeing everyone in September. Details of the return to school can be found in the letter sent out today and also on the website.

One final message; we would like to say a huge congratulations to Miss Sandham who is shortly to become Mrs Beckett and we hope that she has a lovely wedding ceremony during the school break. Good luck Miss Sandham!
