‘Keeping in Touch’

I hope that you are all keeping well and continuing to keep positive during this uncertain time.

As you are aware, we are now offering provision for our Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils, as well as providing care for our key worker and vulnerable pupils.

Those children who have returned to school are working extremely well within their bubbles and are successfully managing hygiene routines and social distancing with guidance from our vigilant staff. They have been eager to start their lessons in school again and happy to see some of their friends.

We are still really pleased with all those pupils who have remained at home and are completing the home learning tasks set. This means they have not missed out on learning during the school closure and it also means that they will be able to catch up more quickly when they return to school. Thank you to all parents who have taken the time to support their children at home; it has made such a difference.

Thank you to all of the parents who have supported the school during this time and also to those parents who have waited patiently at the start and the end of the school day during the school week, keeping your distance.

Updates:

For all those children who are completing home learning tasks, please do look at our Facebook page to find out if you have been selected for a ‘Purple Mash’ certificate for engaging in learning throughout next week. In a similar way to celebration certificates, from next week, each teacher will select a child from their class who has demonstrated some great learning using Purple Mash. A certificate will be emailed to the child’s parent as well as being photographed for Facebook.

Please look at our Facebook page for another Rights Respecting project and please do send us your work so we can celebrate it on our Facebook page.

We will continue to keep you informed of any new updates. As always, if you have any worries or questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
