On Monday 27th June, les Framboises (Class 5) - will be visiting Samphire Hoe, during the morning. The trip does not cost anything and the children do not need to bring any money. We will be back to school in time for lunch, so the children do not need to make any special lunch arrangements.

We will be walking to and from Samphire Hoe, so although the children will need to wear school uniform, they do need to wear comfortable footwear. They will also need to wear sun cream and bring a sun hat if the weather forecast is for warm weather and a waterproof jacket if it is likely to rain.

We are visiting Samphire Hoe as part of our theme- Physical Dover. Whilst we are there, we will be looking at the White Cliffs and how they were formed. We will also be examining the seawall and looking at coastal erosion and how our coastline is protected. The children will also have the opportunity to take part in sketching, a fossil hunt and a scavenger hunt on the beach.
