EDUCATIONAL VISIT TO CANTERBURY HERITAGE CENTRE ON MONDAY 23 NOVEMBER 2015
This term our theme is ‘What was it like to live during World War 11?’ We have booked a visit for Les Citrons Verts and Les Fraises to Canterbury Heritage Centre.
The children will take part in two work shops in the morning, followed by lunch, before we return to school.
We shall leave school at approximately 9.30am and will return before the end of the school day. Children should therefore be collected at the normal time.
Children should come to school in school uniform and make sure they have a waterproof jacket as we will be walking to and from the coach park which takes about twenty minutes.
They will need to bring a packed lunch and drinks (for children who have free school meals, a packed lunch will be provided) no sweets or chocolate please.
The cost of the visit will be £10 per child, to include the coach, the entrance and workshop fees.
This is a really great opportunity for children to learn about our past through studying real artefacts and taking part in hands-on activities. The visit will support and enrich the children’s work back at school.
In order for the day to go ahead, please could you return the voluntary contribution in an envelope with your child’s name written on the front. The amount needs to be paid by Friday 20 November 2015 or this may result in the cancellation of the visit.
