We will be having a Science day on Monday, 19 March 2018. During the day, pupils in years 1 to 6 will take part in a forensic workshop which will allow them to apply their science skills within real life. The pupils will find out that a crime has been committed and it will be their responsibility to piece together the evidence!
Pupils in Reception will be having their Science day on Monday, 19 March 2018, where they will be visiting Samphire Hoe. There will be more information to follow nearer the time.
Today, pupils have had an exciting workshop in school called Kidz Fit. Each class has had the opportunity; to take part in the workshop, they have been involved in some dance moves and exercises whilst learning how to keep fit and healthy.
Because of this workshop in school today, we have decided not to have our Celebration Assembly. It will be held on Monday.
I asked pupils in La Classe Violet if they could tell me about Kidz Fit and this is what they said…..
Luca said “We did science this morning and learnt about our heart beating and taking in oxygen. We did some exercises called Kidz Fit. I enjoyed pulling the bow, it showed me how strong I am.”
Aliesha said “I feel fit because I did lots of hula hooping. I really enjoyed today, my heart felt like it was beating hard.”
Codie said “I am use to doing lots of exercise because I play football and other sports such as hockey. I found today fun but some parts tricky. I like the part where I got to jump in the air and do star jumps.”
Lillie-May said “In Kidz Fit, I had lots of fun, the hula hooping really got my bones moving. I was one of the top kids in Kidz Fit, so I got to stand at the front and tell everyone what to do. It was good fun.”
