The pupils in La CLasse Violet and La Classe Marron enjoyed an Astrodome in school for the morning on Wednesday. This is what they learnt and thought about it……….
Aliesha said, ‘Well we went into the Astrodome and met Peter, when we saw Peter we learnt about the Moon and Stars. We watched a video about Planets. I really enjoyed seeing the Shooting Red Star. My Star sign is Virgo.’
Riley said, ‘We went into the Astrodome and talked about the Sun and Moon and Peter showed us a video about people going into space. We looked up on the roof of the Astrodome and saw Stars. We saw some pictures in space made out of glowy Stars. My Star sign is Taurus. Also a black hole appears and sucks in Mercury and cracked it.’
Ella said, ‘We learnt that when we went in how the Planets move around. Then Peter talked to us about all the Planets like Pluto, which is no longer a Planet. We then had to lie down, on the top of the Astrodome there was bright Stars, and sometimes we saw Shooting Star. I enjoyed it a lot because I haven’t seen the Planets that closely before.’
Mia said, ‘I thought the Astrodome was cool and when we got to see the Stars they looks really pretty. We also learnt that Shooting Stars aren’t actually Stars they are in fact bit of sand flying through the sky. I think that they shine because the Sun reflects on them. We also got to see some Zodiac Signs, these are Greek pictures made up of Stars,’
