Pupils in La Classe Jaune performed their public speaking this week to our Governor, Mr Andrew Lamb. I asked some pupil’s what poem they read, how they felt and if they enjoyed it. This is what they said……
Alexis said “I read ‘The Frozen Man’ by Kit Wright. I liked the poem. I practised it by reading the poem for two weeks. At first, I felt really shy but half way through I really enjoyed reading the poem aloud. I am really pleased I did it.”
Imogen said “I read ‘I Saw a Peacock with a Fiery Tail’ by Brian Pickings. I thought that it was a fun and enjoyable poem. I felt really anxious and nervous about reading the poem aloud but once I had done it I felt so happy and proud of myself.”
Anthony said “I also read ‘The Frozen Man’ by Kit Wright. The poem was really long but really good. At first, I was a bit worried but after the 5th verse I felt really confident and enjoyed reading the poem aloud.”
All of the pupil’s said that they would like to do it again.
