We asked the children if they have enjoyed Book Day, who they have come dressed up as and why? This is what they said...
Hayden said, 'Everyone has come in very good costumes and has made a lot of effort to come in the costumes that they have. My favourite costume is the Harry Potter costume because Harry Potter is one of my favourite books.'
Taylor said, 'Yes because it’s exciting to learn about books and it’s really useful to learn to read. I am 'Where's Wolly' today because it’s a really popular book and it’s a really good hiding book so you don’t get bored.'
Scarlett said, 'It was really fun and I found a new book 'Mermaid Kingdom', I've read it in Year 2, I read it to Lauren. Lauren let me read some of her 'Beauty and the Beast' book. I enjoyed playing outside skipping. I am 'Belle' from 'Beauty and the Beast' I chose to come as 'Belle' today because the dress is really puffy and I was challenging myself whilst I skip.'
Antony said, 'I am enjoying it and also we get to read to the little ones which I found fun and they read me a book and I read them a book. My mum dressed me up as Tony Hawke because she went on Google and found some Tony Hawke books and she told me he is famous for doing the '900 Spin', he spins on a skateboard, he does 'sick' tricks.'
Naomi said, 'I really enjoyed it because we got to read to the little children and some of them really surprised us because of how good they were at reading. Hermione, because my favourite book character is Hermione and my favourite book is 'Harry Potter'. It’s very detailed and very interesting.'
