At our Monday assembly a representative will be talking to the children about the work Dover Foodbank do for the local community. For our Harvest Celebration, we are asking parents for donations. A list of what the Dover Foodbank require is on our FaceBook page. If you would like to make a donation we will be collecting items all week, please bring items in to your child's class teacher. On Friday Dover FoodBank will be collecting any donations made. We had a fantastic response last year and hope you will be as generous supporting this worthwhile local charity this year.
The whole-school target for our attendance is 96%, which would mean that your child would be away for only 7 days in an academic year.

Late arrival at school
When your child arrives late at school, he/she misses the teacher's instructions, their morning task and possibly the introduction to the lesson. Your child may also feel embarrassed at having to enter the classroom late.
Minutes late per day during the school year = Equals days' worth of teaching lost in a year
5 minutes = 3 days
10 minutes = 6 1/2 days
15 minutes = 10 days
20 minutes = 13 days
30 minutes = 19 days
Frequent lateness can add up to a considerable amount of learning lost, and can seriously disadvantage your child. School begins at 09.00am. Please help your child to be punctual.
