Archaeology with Mrs Harrington

Mrs Harrington has taught Year 6 Pupils today all about archaeology.

These were their thoughts…

Sienna enjoyed looking at all the old Anglo Saxons findings that Mrs Harrington had brought in.  She enjoyed finding out what the Anglo Saxons liked back then and if they were rich or not.

The girls explained that when people died back then, they would be buried with their belongings.  If you had lots of jewellery buried with you it meant that you were probably rich.

Lauren liked measuring and weighing the Anglo Saxons findings that Mrs Harrington had found.  Lauren told me that she liked the looking at the knife blade that was found in grave number 4.  Lauren said that it was interesting looking at photos of what the objects would have looked like before.

The girls have really enjoyed Mrs Harrington’s lesson on archaeology.
