Key Stage One Nativity

The children in La Tour Eiffel (class 1), Le Louvre (Class 2) and Mont Blanc (Class 3) will be performing their Christmas Nativity on Wednesday, 12 December.  There will be two performances of the Nativity.  The first will take place at 2.00pm.  There will also be an evening performance, beginning at 6.00pm.  We should be very grateful if you could ensure that your child is back in school by 5.30pm.

Due to Health and Safety regulations and the Fire Evacuation policy, we cannot allow any pushchairs or buggies to come into the school hall for the Nativity, for both afternoon and evening performances.  Please leave all buggies and pushchairs outside.

Also for this reason, the Nativity will be ticketed.  Each family will be provided with 2 tickets and these will be coming home with your child.  If you have more than one child in the Nativity, the oldest child will be given the tickets to bring home.  Please bring your tickets to the performances, they will be marked afternoon and evening.

If wheel chair access is required, please inform the office before the performances so that previsions can be made. The vehicle gates will be opened for blue badge holders only between 1.30pm – 1.45pm and 5.30pm – 5.45pm.  If you require access, please inform the school office before Wednesday, 12 December.  There will be no access after the specified times.

Christmas Class Parties

It’s that time of year again where the teachers are planning Christmas parties for their classes. This year, we are again writing to ask you to donate food for the children to enjoy on the afternoon of Tuesday, 18 December.  We are planning to eat together as a school, with food shared between all the classes.  So that we have a range of foods, we would ask that you provide the food allocated to your child’s class.  As a guide, if you provide enough for approximately 6 children we will not end up with excess food.  However, if we do have any food left over, we will put it out during the disco or share it between the classes during ‘Golden Time’ on Wednesday.

La Tour Eiffel - Sandwiches

Le Louvre - Biscuits, Cakes

Mont Blanc - Fruit, Crisps

Notre Dame - Sausage rolls, pork pies, mini eggs or savouries

Arc de Triomphe - Sandwiches

Chateau de Versailles - Sausage rolls, pork pies, mini eggs or savouries

We are grateful for the contributions you make to enable the Christmas parties to go ahead.  Please send your contribution in to your child’s class teacher on the morning of the party.  If you would like any further information, please ask your child’s class teacher.  Children may also bring in party clothes, which they will change into before the parties begin.  Please ensure that all clothes are placed in a bag with your child’s name on.

School Christmas Discos

The discos will be on Tuesday, 18 December.  There will be a Key Stage 1 disco from 3.15pm till 4.15pm and a Key Stage 2 disco from 4.30pm till 5.30pm.  The tickets are on sale from the School Office and cost £2 per ticket. Children that are in Key Stage 2 that are attending the disco, will need to go home and return to school at 4.30pm.  All children will need to be collected by an adult from their normal classrooms at the end of each disco.

Non-School Uniform Day

Wednesday 19 December - As always, the children can wear their own clothes on the last day of term.  We ask for a voluntary contribution of £1 for the Children with Cancer UK.
