RE: Trip to Kent Life in Maidstone

We have arranged a visit to Kent Life in Maidstone on Tuesday 18 June 2019 for all pupils in Classes Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame. We will be leaving school at approx. 9.00a.m and should be back to school by 3.15 p.m.

Whilst we are there, we will be learning about Kent’s hop-farming history. The children will also have the opportunity to use some of the other facilities at Kent Life whilst they are there, including visiting the farm animals; the adventure playground and of course the gift shop!

Before the visit may take place, we would ask that the voluntary contribution of £9.50 per child please be returned to school by Friday 7 June 2019.

We wish to point out that no pupil will be denied participation for the visit, on the grounds that no contribution has been made on their behalf. However, if insufficient funds are raised, then the visit may have to be cancelled.

If the trip goes ahead, your child will need a packed lunch (no fizzy drinks, chocolate or sweets please). Your child may also bring some money for the gift shop, if they wish, but please no more than £5 and your child will be responsible for looking after this during the trip. We therefore recommend that money is brought in a named purse or envelope.

The children will need to wear school uniform for this trip and comfortable shoes for walking. Please could you also check the weather for the day and provide a raincoat and sunhats as appropriate. If the weather is forecast to be warm, sun-cream should be applied before school please.

If your child suffers from travel sickness would you please ensure that you let us know and that they have the appropriate medication before coming to school.
